40 Hours in a Robinson R22

This seven week course is designed for pilots who hold a Commercial or Air Transport Helicopter Licence and who wish to obtain a Helicopter Instructor Rating.

The minimum entry requirement is 400 hours total flight time on helicopters on completion of the course.

Initial training is conducted in the classroom where the student is introduced to the principles and methods of instruction and the techniques of classroom teaching and briefings in all sequences required for the helicopter Commercial Licence.

Flight training consists of at least 25 hours dual instruction with Grade 1 instructors and up to 15 hours mutual training with other student instructors.

Course costs do not include medical examinations, CASA documents or navigational equipment as a student would normally already be in possession of these items.

However the course does include all writing and study materials. A Reference text book is also included in the cost.
